Corbett Tourism like to inform you that Corbett National Park offers you a Tourism Zone by name of Corbett Landscape. This is newly opened zone in Corbett for Visitors in that visitors can spent there 4 hours in the jungle during Jeep safari. Corbett Landscape is loaded with nature`s wonders, and borders the main attraction of the park. Of all the major avian species found in Corbett Landscape and areas abutting Corbett, the Corbett Landscape shelters around 600 species of birds, most of which are migratory birds. Sprawling with vast acres of wilderness, dotted with villages and sun rays filtering midst the tall Sal woods, it is truly a magical to go a walk on the lanes here. And, there is no better way to bird watching than this. Birds Watching Safari can be enjoyed to a large extend in this Landscape (Corbett Landscape) of Jim Corbett National Park.

Corbett Landscape is newly opened tourist spot of Corbett National Park. This zone is under of Forest Department. It means Corbett Park’s rule regulation will be apply in this zone. Only permitted vehicles can take a wild trek inside the forest. There is a famous temple dedicated to lord Shiva and a beautiful river. Corbett Landscape is a very beautiful, peaceful and attractive place of Corbett National Park. In safari you can see here Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Dears, Jackal, Wild Boar many other animals but its depend on your beautiful luck.This zone is very famous amongst bird watchers specially Vulture lovers.

Fauna of Corbett Landscape:-


Royal Bangal Tiger, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Asian Elephant, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Chital, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Black Face Monkey, Rhesus Monkey, Wild pig, and Jackal.


Long Tail, White Bush chat, Oriental-Pied, Emerald Dove, Red Wattle Lapwing, the Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Rested Kingfisher, Indian Shirks, Indian Alpine Swift, Woodpecker, Laughing Thrush, Vulture, Parakeet, Kales Pheasant, Oriole, Common Grey Hornbill, Seagull, Duck, Stork, Cormorant, Parrot, Indian Roller and many more.

About Sitabani

Sitabani is a hard forest area, not the part of Corbett Tiger Reserve, but is the first and the only spot for bird watching in Jim Corbett. The area is favorite spot for tourist walking and is popular in the Hindu epic, named Ramayana. As the myth goes, goddess Sita, wife of Lord Rama spent some days of her exile in Sitabani. The entire place is protected and maintained by Archeological Survey of India (ASI). Besides the beautiful birds, Sitabani is indeed fabulous spot and natural habitat for tigers, elephants, deers, sambars, barking deers, porcupines, and king cobras. The place is indeed the paradise for bird watchers and there is an ashram where tourists can take the rest for a while.

Whole of forest area in Sitabani is open round the year for Safari tour and there is absolutely no limit of vehicles entering the area. Corbett national park authority will not offer the permit for the entry into zone. Sitabani forest department makes provides the permit for jeep safari. Sitabani forest zone also has popular temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. There is shallow brooks flowing through the Sitabani, and it offers enjoyable retreat to the tourists to get through. Tourists can also catch fishes and get all excited about angling. It would indeed be a great idea to take tour to Sitabani and get a real time glimpse. Since you can easily take a walk through the Sitabani, it would become a memorable adventure time of your life.

Sitabani is one of prominent zones which are always full with tourists. Most of the tourists entering Sitabani Jeep Safari zone are avid bird watchers. They have fair inkling to watch birds and the best part is that there are plenty of birds to watch around all through the season. Tourists can also take the glimpse of vultures, which have almost disappeared in the cities and towns.

Prohibitions in Sitabani

Alcohol and non-vegetarian food not allowed. All your personal and non-biodegradable remains like tin cans, plastic, glass bottles, metal foils etc. should be put into a carry bag and you should dispose it off after you finish the tour. This is to keep the climes and animals’ in Sitabani zone safe.
