About Durgadevi

Durga Devi is an attractive and verdant tourism zone falling within Corbett National Park range. It is wildlife area, exceptionally used for long elephant safaris and makes direct access to the Ramganga River, where tourists can enjoy fishing and angling. While making your staycool and comfortable at the Durgadevi, the tourists will get the opportunity to go to Ramganga River to enjoy angling facilities at the Ramganga camp at Bhikiasen crossing the gate further 30 KMs in the pristine pool in the Ramganga River. The Durgadevi tourism zone is closed during monsoon due to poor roads in the forest.

DurgaDevi lies on the north-eastern boundary of the Jim Corbett National Park. The Durga Devi entrance gate is around 20 Km away from Corbett Wild Retreat. The Mandalrange of Corbett Tiger Reserve through Durgadevi entrance gives the tourists challenging birding species to belvedere. It is quite common sightong to come across the grey headed fishing eagle, crested laughing thrush, black chinned Yuhina, maroon orile, slaty blue flycatcher, long tailed broadbill, little forktail, and bar tailed tree creeper. Lohachaur forest area is quite popular among the tourists for sighting wild elephants and the heaving terrain that offer an excellent occasion to see the leopards.

The zone can be easily spotted from the north-eastern boundary of the Park. The entrance gate is located just few kilometres away from some state of the art resorts. This range offers an exclusive view to some of rare species like grey headed fishing eagle, crested laughing thrush, black chinned Yuhina, maroon orile, slaty blue flycatcher, long tailed broadbill, little forktail, and bar tailed tree creeper. Lohachaur forest area is well-known for wild elephants and superb opportunity to see the leopards.

Tourists should bring Driving License/ Voter Id / Pan cardas it is required for the identification. For the foreigner tourists, Passport Details mentioning Passport Number, Full Name & Gender, Date of Issue and expiry, date of Birth, Nationality is required for Advance Bookings of Morning jeep safari

Prohibitions in Durgadevi

Alcohol and non-vegetarian food not allowed. All your personal and non-biodegradable remains like tin cans, plastic, glass bottles, metal foils etc. should be put into a carry bag and you should dispose it off after you finish the tour. This is to keep the National Park climes and animals’ safe.
